The Island Experience

• A golden hour session capturing over 60 digital images and video clips for social media sharing.
• Photoshoot will last approximately 1.5 – 2 hours, allowing ample time for multiple looks and for you to relax and relish in the experience.
• Depending on the season, we will recommend which location would be best for you to make the most of your island experience. You’ll have the option to do a sunrise or sunset shoot. Truly, you cannot go wrong with either.
• Select up to 3 different looks, including optional outfits from our client closet or your own wardrobe. I offer complimentary styling and can assist with creating the perfect looks.
• We have a curated collection of beachy, riding friendly styled outfits for you to wear for your island session. That way you don’t have to worry about what to wear! We’ll send over a look book of our client closet upon inquiry.

Your island photoshoot will take place in one of two picturesque locations. One of our iconic spots is on the west side of Oʻahu. The Waiʻanae coast features turquoise blue waters, golden sandy beaches, and a stunning mountain backdrop. Our second location is in the sacred Kahana Bay, on the windward side of O’ahu. You will be surrounded by the majestic Ko’olau mountains as you take a tour of the bay on horseback and learn about the history of Kahana Valley. Alternative locations may be arranged by special request, but we try to stick to familiar locations for our equine friends.

Hawaii Horse Moments generously provides beautiful horses for our traveling equestrian guests. Nitya owns several horses suitable for photoshoots, but Kanu is her gorgeous black gelding that is the star of many photo sessions. Nitya’s horses are located on the west side.

If you’re wanting to experience the magic of Kahana Valley, Legacy Horsemanship is our other partner for the Island Experience. Aunty Leolani has a string of horses to choose from. All of her horses are trained to go into the water as well. 

Rachel Sloan has personally met and worked with the horses from both of our partners and can guarantee they are personable and friendly, but most importantly safe for our clients to handle without assitance.
